This Belgian designer knows exactly what she’s talking about when she says, “This is real Belgian craftsmanship”. She grew up in the upholstery and furniture factory of her parents, who became royal warrant holders. They still run the factory with much enthusiasm, a lot of patience and quite a bit of inspiration.

Michèle is a young, motivated designer who loves to work in the family workshop. ‘Motivated’ because she has become the full time representative of her family’s company, LF Selection. She designs and imports rugs and has now designed this magnificent, fluffy Shepherd’s Place. Working with fabrics and furniture  inspires her 24/7.  

She is not only influenced by the craftsmanship around her, she has been inspired by her own way of life.  Living on a farm with lots of animals and feeding them after work made her wanting a chair that warms her up immediately during the winter months. Preferring only timeless furniture in her home, she uses natural sheepskins, allowing her the chance to enjoy Shepherd’s Place in the summer as well. Shepherd’s Place also gives her a comfy place to cuddle up with her children, making it all the more worthwhile.

By selling this chair all over the world, Michèle hopes to help everyone fully enjoy their home, interior and family.
